Organic Life coffeehouse and bakery

Yesterday I got the opportunity to visit Organic Life coffeehouse and bakery in Palm Harbor. It was a quaint little cafe with tons of organic, gluten free, vegetarian, vegan breakfast and lunch options. Open M-F 8am-8pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, closed Sunday. There is a cozy corner where artists perform. Tuesday is poetry and currently every Saturday 2pm-5pm is open mic.

My husband Ben and I both ordered the gluten free, vegetarian Josh's mufflette tops: Organic muffin top stuffed with organic scrambled egg, organic spinach, fresh tomato, Boar's Head Feta cheese and topped with Boar's Head white cheddar (with or without ham) $3 each. Ben selected a cappuccino $3.50 and I chose matche green tea latte (with almond milk) $4.25. To my delight of course they had stevia.

The mufflette was great! Made with rice flower, a corn muffin topped with breakfast goodies throughout, you would have never guessed it was gluten free. The cappuccino was frothy, bold and delicious even without any type of sweetener. I've never had matche before so it was quite a surprise to taste the dark green leafy flavor. I think I would have preferred it iced rather than hot. However, matche has many health benefits, so I thought it was a great option to offer.

I had a lovely conversation with Larry, father of the owner to Organic Life. He was very personable and genuine. He explained this coffee house was a family owned business all about delicious, wholesome food, family and entertainment. Hope to see you soon at open mic night! Ciao!
